Our goal at playfings is to provide high quality, reasonably priced, U.S. made, natural material toys for pets and to do so in an environmentally responsible way. It seemed like a common sense thing to do, and there didn't seem to be anyone doing it. So playfings happened--entirely by accident.
In addition to using only natural (okay, so the wool dyes aren't completely natural, but we're working on that) materials in our toy products, we use recyclable and recycled packaging wherever possible. Our invoices and correspondence are printed on 100% PCW recycled paper, our mailing labels are 100% PCW recycled paper, and our cardboard mailers are 100% PCW recycled cardboard. We do use USPS Priority Mail shipping boxes, which are recyclable although their recycled content is unknown (does anyone know? I couldn't find any information when I looked). We are willing to leave out the retail packaging for our customers upon request--just let us know when you check out of our Etsy storefront.
At this time, we only have cat toys, which have been extensively playtested by many cats. We are currently prototyping dog toys and hope to have those in our storefront once they pass playtesting.
